——Chambord
Nestled among castles of Loire Valley in France, about 150 kilometers southwest of capital city of Paris, Chambord Castle has become one of most famous royal castles in world for its grandeur and majesty and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The construction of Chambord was started by Francis I in 1519. It lasted a hundred years and went under Henry II. It was only completed in 1684 by Louis XIV, "Sun King" of Bourbon dynasty. As a hunting palace, Chambord Castle also has a number of "super-large records": its length is 156 meters, its height is 56 meters, 77 steps, 282 chimneys and 464 rooms, which testify to its greatness.
Majestic, magnificent and beautiful - everyone's first impression of him. The magnificent architecture of Chambord perfectly combines architectural elements of French Middle Ages and Italian Renaissance. Among them, most famous design of castle is double helix staircase located in center of main tower inside building. It is said to have been created by hand of Leonardo da Vinci, but they are parallel to each other and never cross. It is said that design is to prevent empress and concubines from meeting each other on stairs, so that they can live in peace and not interfere with each other.
