Mont Blanc (French: Montblanc, Italian: Monte Blanco, meaning white mountain), also translated as: Mont Blanc, is highest peak in Alps, with a height of 4810 meters.

Chamonix is world famous for being located at foot of Mont Blanc, highest peak in European Alps.
In 1924, first Winter Olympic Games were held in Chamonix.
Chamonix is the birthplace of outdoor industry (how it became birthplace of outdoor industry is told to us by our French guide and will be mentioned later), and at same time, many outdoor projects have been realized here. with its unique natural environments including skiing, mountain biking, paragliding, snow climbing, hiking, etc.
Here, pedestrians in streets and alleys are dressed in professional outdoor sports attire, either going to play outdoor sports or returning from outdoor sports.

In city of Chamonix there is one of most important shopping streets with a total length of several hundred meters. In addition to malls, supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants on both sides of street, almost all of them are street shops.
The day we arrived coincided with an outdoor climbing festival in small town of Chamonix. There were teams that held events, promoted outdoor products, showed outdoor videos, shared mountaineering experiences, etc. In addition, there were many mountaineering shops in city. there were discounts. The street is very busy.

On night of departure, we and old ghost and I had to work overtime, so we hurried home and rushed to airport with our bags on our backs. In ten hours we drove from Guangzhou to Doha, from Doha to Geneva, and then from Geneva to Chamonix, and temperature dropped from 30+℃ to 10+℃ at same time.
When I was collecting luggage, I categorically said that it would not be cold. They are all in northern hemisphere, and latitude is not particularly high. Summer in Chamonix is not too cold. said this to old ghost to emphasize. In end, I was wrong: there was still a lot of snow on hill near town of Chamonix, and river in center of city was seething with icy melted glacial water. Combined with fatigue from constant running around, my body trembled a bit.
Our Chinese-French guide Ma Xiaoxue said, "It's been raining for a week now, and tomorrow and day after will be fine and not so cold!"
I thought to myself: this is just an opportunity, and cold work must be done well!
I actually took down, fleece and jacket, but after putting on fleece and jacket, I was still very cold, I subconsciously thought that if weather continued to deteriorate, I would die of cold! Remembering scene when I climbed snow-capped mountains so cold that my arms and legs were numb, I shouted in my soul: "Buy, buy, buy! Buy, buy, buy!"
I can do whatever I want for jacket, I can do whatever I want for down jacket, I can do whatever I want to keep warm... and trekking poles. We don't need trekking poles, but we didn't expect flying to consume a lot of our energy, so we had to buy a pair of trekking poles for self defense. So, during few hours we were in small town of Chamonix, we spent a lot of time visiting outdoor shops and finally bought jackets, down jackets, jackets, pants, trekking poles, etc.

Today is our first day of hiking. We'll start at Montana Hotel in Chamonix, France, take a few minutes on a small mountain train to Montroc, and then we'll officially start our hikes. On this day we will cross Col de Balme between France and Switzerland to small town of Trient in Switzerland.

The weather on first day was heavy fog + light rain + cold.
On this day, we got up at seven o'clock, packed up things after breakfast - put away unnecessary things on Huanbo Road and put them in hotel, folded toiletries, clothes, etc. And important things in a small bag to carry, because this is a complex operation, so we dragged on for a long time.
There was also a very embarrassing moment that happened during this period, i.e. I actually forgot to bring a bag with all my underwear and socks in it! !
I can't believe some people are horrified at their own stupidity! !
Do I have to wear these clothes for rest of trip? ! !
What is experience of wearing only one set of underwear and one pair of socks for seven days? !
Combined with jet lag and lack of sleep, my head was about to explode. Fortunately, at this time, Zhutou extended a warm hand and gave me a pair of socks to dispel some emotions.
I remember it was already ten o'clock, and suddenly conductor shouted nervously: train is about to be late~
Then he took us to station. I thought train station was far, far away, but it was right behind our hotel and could be reached in just three minutes.

A few minutes later, a small alpine train took us to a place called Montroc, halfway up mountain. French guide Jung gave a simple course on use of trekking poles and trek officially began.

It will be our lunch time soon, but it won't be fast because we won't be hiking until 10:30 that day. I came to Farui for two days. Although I was in mountains, life of people is rich, unlike my Datian dynasty, which is mainly directly related to poverty in mountains.
I also want to praise local infrastructure. Roads are laid to almost every house in mountains, and buses reach every village. Living in mountains will not be very inconvenient!

One thing I noticed is that every turning radius on Panshan Highway is set relatively large, and basically 1-2 parking spaces will be expanded. It's really worth looking into and can significantly reduce crashes!
